FoodSEcure is an agribusiness startup that blends technology and innovation advancements with research in environment, climate change and regenerative agriculture. Our hybrid production approach ensures a sustainable and circular food system while conserving the environment. Our main goal is for communities to produce healthy food sustainably by adopting climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies at minimum cost. We also intend to foster environmental education in communities thus helping minimize human causes of climate change.

To ensure food security for the increasing world population projected at 50b by 2050, we need to develop climate smart, affordable, nutrients rich organic food systems. FoodSEcure inc. has diversified its income streams while integrating them at the same time. Our production methods are purely scientific and nature based where we employ techniques such as biotechnology in products and essential farm biochemical like fertilisers and IPM, biosystem engineering, crop and animals integration for maximum production, effective waste management and circular economy. We plan to sell the surplus to the ready and growing population within our community.

We have other programs in place to contribute to the financial sustainability plan of foodSEcure. These are providing training and extension services in food systems and climate change, engineering solutions for soil testing and management, farm planning, designing and construction of agro infrastructure.

We plan to integrate poultry production to fish production which will bolster production in both ventures through waste management and nutrients recycling. We have a program to grow and formulate our own feeds where we will use poultry products like eggshells and feathers as ingredients together with other wastes from other units. The resultant as fish waste (RAS effluent) is channeled into the vermiculture segment for further recycling and decomposition to produce organic end products for crop production. Excessive ammonia and other dissolved elements are tapped out in the greenhouses for crop nutrition during the recirculation period of the aquaponics production.
